6 days - 5 nights: From Ouirgane to the Mount Toubkal

Day 1: Ouirgane - Assif Izagzaoun
After an early breakfast we start our full day hike, passing by differend landscapes. Half-way we will stop having lunch and then we coninue ourr way to today’s destination: Assif Izagzaoun. We will spend the night in a local family home.

Day 2: Assif Izagzaoun - Tizgui
After breakfast we start our ay to Tizgui (1800m) – ascending the summit of Mount Assaka (2170m) and descend towards the Goudafa (Tizgui) valley. Lunch will be en route. The night we will spend in a local family house.

Day 3: Tizgui - Tizi Oussem
The way from Tizgui to Tizi Oussem leads us to the pass of Tizi Tougdalt (2700m), also called the ‘Mount of Winds’. Our way runs though a beautiful forest of junipers and we have the chance to meet nomads, who left their families to spend the summer away from home to feed their animals. In Tizi Oussem we spend the night in a gite.

Day 4: Tizi Oussen – Toubkal Refuge
After breakfast, a pretty stiff climb is waiting for us. Out of the valley, we pass by Tamsoult and the magical water fall of Ighouliden and cross the Aguelzim Pass at 3650m. We will arrive at the Toubkal refuge, where we spend the night. Probably you have to share a room with other mountaineers – however the Refuge has hot showers and an open fireplace to enjoy the evening. Have a good night to be prepared for the ascend of the Mount Toubkal Summit at 4167m.
Day 5: Refuge - Toubkal (Imlil)
Breakfast will be served early to avoid the ascend in the full sun. You will love the impressive view from the top – it’s a challenge, but you will be rewarded for your efforts. After you enjoyed the view and relaxed a bit, we will return to the Refuge for lunch.

Option 2: go back to Imlil or Aroumd after lunch and spend the night there
Day 6 – option 1:
After breakfast in the Toubkal Lodge we descend towards Imlil, the final destination of your Atlas experience.
Day 6 – option 2:
After a night and breakfast in a hotel or guesthouse in Imlil, your Atlas experience ends here.

Notes:
- This hike requires you to be physically fit, but your efforts will be rewarded!
- Good walking boots are necessary.
